Piove, è tempo di recap

Piove. Le piante, le mie piante, si lasciano annaffiare dal cielo grigio. Sì perché ora ho delle piante, nella mia casa. Sì perché ora ho una casa. Non ve l’avevo detto? È passato un po’ dall’ultima volta in cui ho manifestato la mia presenza su questo blog, del resto ne sono successe di cose, ne è passata di acqua eccetera. Apparently normal things, but if you think about it…

Sometimes I think about or repeat a single word so much that it loses its meaning, after a while all that remains is an empty sound with no concept related. Does it happen to you too? Tell me it happens, please.
In the same way some normal activities lose their meaning and become nearly absurd when I consider them only as the action itself.

I know, I amuse myself with simple things.

Life in the time of tangelos and the reason why I don’t eat tomato pasta

Tangelo (Cushman Honeybells) and tomato pasta are two things that are strongly connected in my mind; what I know for sure is how badly I hate them, especially pasta with tomato sauce.

Yes, I’m not the average italian girl: I don’t eat much bread (which makes me kind of a weirdo in my family) and above all I can’t eat pasta with tomato sauce on it, I can’t even smell it.
This relates to a big trauma that dates back to my childhood (and I know for sure I’m not the only one who suffers of it).
